Kefalonia

The island of Kefalonia is the biggest island of the Ionian Sea and the second sunniest place in Greece. It remains a pristine paradise with friendly people, stunning landscapes, tall mountains and forests. Its coasts formulate precipitous rocks and small coves, with magnificent- protected from the wind- beaches. Rich in history and culture. There are plenty ancient historical monuments such as royal tombs, Roman tombs, Byzantine and Venetian castles. The transport connections in the coast are very frequent. It’s connected with the mainland Greece from the ports of Killini-Poros, Patra-Sami, Astakos-Sami and Lefkada-Fiskardo. There is also an international airport.

ARGOSTOLI

Center of the island

It's the capital of the island since 1757, where was relocated from the Castle of Saint George, a city full of cultural heritage.

The earthquake in 1953 destroyed all the infrastructures of the city and only a few remained intact and can still remind us of the old architecture, like the bridge De Bosset. In the west aside of Argostoli you will find the Lassi’s resort and the famous beaches: Makris and Platis Gialos. It’s connected with Lixouri via ferry-boat.

Myrtos

One of the most fascinating beaches of Greece. The contrast between the white pebbles with the shades of the sea and of the area’s greenery create a spectacular image. It’s an organized beach, with a canteen, umbrellas, sea beds and a lifeguard. It’s the right choice when the sea is calm, early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when you can also enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Xi

Seven kilometers away from Lixouri, you will find Xi beach. If someone takes a look from above the cove looks like the letter Ξ, from the Greek alphabet. It’s suitable for children, fully organized with plenty of water sport options. The most known characteristic of this beach is the grey clay( natural spa) and the red sand.

Antisamos

This beach became popular after the filming of the Hollywood movie ‘’Captain’s Corelli’s mandolin’’. It’s only a few kilometers away from Sami. The waters is blue- green here with white pebble beach surrounded by rich vegetation . Organized beach with water sports, beach bar and lifeguard.

Foki

Under the village Tselentata, in Fiskardo’s area, lays this small windless creek , which is overgrown with olive trees and cypresses. It’s named after the seals Monachus-Monachus, who are regularly choosing the area’s big cave- which is only a few meters away from the coast- as a shelter.

Alaties - Dafnoudi - Kimilia

Small, well hidden treasures in the north part of Kefalonia. Crystal clear waters, white pebble, nature that rages. In order to reach the beaches Dafnoudi and Kimilia the visitor has to follow a small path and he has to be equipped with water, food and umbrella. The beach Alaties can be accessed with a car.

Beach Vouti

Beach under the village Zola, in the Saint Kiriaki’s bay. Full of pebbles, that it’s divided in two parts with impressive rocks. Suitable for those who are looking for peace and isolation. The visitors need an umbrella in order to be protected from the sun, even though there are some umbrellas and sea beds.

It’s an area of exceptional natural beauty with hills full of olive trees and cypresses, with Venetian architecture, with beaches full of white pebbles and villages with beautiful views to other islands and to the mainland.

The recalcitrant Myrtos, the colorful Fiskardo and the idyllic Assos with the Venetian castle are the most important places in the area.
